Spreading the Word of Perthshire

Meetings Perthshire has a busy six months ahead. It is the industry events and conference season, so it’s a great opportunity to get out and about to promote Perthshire.

As you are all aware, there is a multitude of global MICE events. We are confident that over the coming months, a large volume of event planners, corporate event managers, office managers, luxury travel agents and more will find out about our wonderful region. After all, we have been voted the Friendliest Place on Earth by booking.com, so we need to sing that from the rooftops.

CHS Birmingham

We were at CHS Birmingham at the end of October. A terrific venue, and a selection of buyers who were genuinely interested to find out about Scotland outside of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Interestingly, the Caledonian Sleeper heading from London to Inverness – stopping at Perth, was of importance. Find out about our accessibility in our recent News item.

Famtastic Rocks

We have signed up for three Famtastic Rocks events, one in York and one in Leeds. Having attended a couple of previous lunches, it’s a great way to spend two hours with buyers in an informal and relaxed environment. York (29^th November) is at the end of November, whilst Leeds (24^th March) is prior to CHS Leeds.

CHS Leeds

Jumping ahead slightly, CHS Leeds will offer an excellent forum for the predominantly northern buyer. Location once again is key, and the train and car from the key northern cities makes Perth and Perthshire a very viable and exciting option for an event.

micebook EXPO

Not wanting to leave the south out, we will attend micebook EXPO for two days at the end of January. A popular and varied event, the year will get off to a positive start with all the buyers in central London. There are plenty of flights from all the London and regional airports to Glasgow and Edinburgh, so for the MICE market, there are so many ways to get to Perthshire.
