It is important to have fun, it’s important to harness the age old adage of work hard, play hard. All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy, or so the saying goes. In Perthshire, the great outdoors allows for plenty of activity in the fresh air. Several of our venues offer team building, golf, archery, Highland Games and more, taking advantage of our beautiful countryside.
Throughout the year, there are regular events across the region, embracing the flora and fauna. A long-standing and popular outdoor experience will open its doors once again at the start of October. Deep in the depths of the beautiful woodland, as night envelops day, close to Pitlochry, is the Enchanted Forest. This year’s symphony of nature will immerse its visitors in a kaleidoscope of vivid colours, accompanied by inspirational music. Visitors will enjoy strolling through the trees, enjoying a feast for the senses.
Over two decades, more than 800,000 have made the journey to Perthshire’s Autumnal mecca. Perthshire is a sight to behold as summer ends, and the natural green canvas turns to a cornucopia of shades of brown, red and yellow. And then the Enchanted Forest brings it together at night!
The event has won a variety of awards, including VisitScotland’s Best Cultural Event, Best Outdoor Festival and Best Cultural Event at the Scottish Event Awards.
The show is going from strength to strength. More visitors are heading to Faskally Wood as a result, but it is important for the event to support the ecology of the wood. Working closely with Forestry and Land Scotland, and sensitive to the local environment, there is minimal impact on the area. Conservation and sustainability are at the forefront of the Enchanted Forest’s message. It is quite some spectacle and a wonderful way to enjoy Perthshire at night.
