The Scottish Agritourism Conference will be held at the Perth Concert Hall on 18th and 19th November 2024.

Scotland is at the forefront of agritourism, with the combination of food, drink and accommodation providing a lucrative and successful sector. The Scottish Agritourism body was established in 2020 to bring together a strong network of farmers, crofters and suppliers to collaborate on business, marketing and representation.

Go Rural

Scottish Agritourism is a member organisation and sector body, but their Go Rural brand promotes the sector to the public. The Go Rural logo proudly sits alongside all those members offering a real working farm experience.

The Conference brings together members, farmers, economic development agencies, DMOs, suppliers and local and national government representatives. The two days will incorporate networking, exhibition stands, lunches and breakout sessions. There will also be panel sessions and industry speakers.

International Speakers

2024 sees Marijke Dunselman of Agritourism New Zealand, and Pandurang Taware of Agritourism India discuss the international agritourism trends. Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands will address the conference and discuss the 2026 World Agritourism Conference which will be held in Edinburgh.

Scottish Agritourism Conference discussions

Panel discussion topics will include the future of the sector, innovation, and building great teams. It is an exciting time for the sector in Scotland, as the group work alongside Visit Scotland to measure the economic impact of the sector, growth and the development of new agritourism business.

The last economic tracker recorded that agritourism was worth £60 million and farm retail £110 million to the Scottish economy. The Perth conference will see both national and international delegates further highlighting the importance of agritourism in Scotland. We are fortunate in Perthshire to have a vast array of agritourism business.
