Murrayshall Masterplan

It is an exciting time at the Murrayshall Country Estate. Always a popular and busy Perthshire destination, Murrayshall is looking forward to the next stage of its development.

New Jobs

The masterplan aims to generate £169 million and 400 new jobs across Perth & Kinross and Scotland, enhancing both the estate and local area. The £30 million estate investment allows Murrayshall to attract a much broader variety of guest. Crucially, the MICE market will benefit, particularly from the diversity of accommodation and activities, enticing board meetings, events and team building gatherings from far and wide throughout the year.

Luxury Pods

The Murrayshall project is extensive, but grabbing the headlines is the addition of new rooms. Not your ‘standard’ bedrooms, the luxury pods aim to improve the room options with a focus on sustainability. Taking advantage of the amazing grounds, and beautiful vistas, the room occupancy will increase by 50%.

Not only is Murrayshall in such a spectacular location, but the activity opportunities are endless too. For thrill seekers quad bikes and axe throwing are available. For those looking more for relaxation, the spa, fishing, picnics and leisurely bike rides will be the order of the day.

Golf Academy

Golf is also high on the list of investment priorities. The two golf courses have had extensive work and are in peak condition. A Golf Academy will also be built with 17 bays, two teaching academy bays and an enhanced pro shop.

Behind the scenes, the estate is working hard to monitor the land through flood management, and sustainable drainage programmes. Murrayshall is very aware of its responsibility for the environment, and best practices are being put in place to make the estate as resilient as possible to the ever-changing weather patterns.

Leisure Facilities

Further down the line, new spa and leisure facilities are on the horizon, together with lodges, luxury cabins and timeshare/vacational ownership. The project is picking up pace, so Meetings Perthshire will make sure that there are regular updates. Murrayshall aims to become a year-round destination, attracting both domestic and international clients. This can only be good news for Perthshire.
