Meetings Perthshire has recently announced that Tricia Robertson will take up the position as the new Chair of the group for 2024. With a busy calendar of events planned for the year ahead to promote the region as a leading business tourism destination, the group are thrilled with Tricia’s new role.
The membership-based marketing group was formally launched back in 2015 and includes a variety of Perthshire’s leading venues, businesses and support service members that operate within the business tourism sector.
Tricia Robertson, Hospitality and Sponsorship Sales Manager at Perth Racecourse said “I am thrilled to be taking on the Role of Chair for the Group. I have been involved with Meetings Perthshire since its first inception when I was at The Gleneagles Hotel.
I have served on the Committee since I joined Perth Racecourse in 2017 and am pleased to see the Membership growing as we all look to bring business levels back to pre-covid levels. We are ideally placed to host sustainable events combining world class conference facilities with locally sourced produce served in luxurious dining venues and easy access to the Great Outdoors for team building activities for all ages and abilities. Working in collaboration with other Perthshire venues gives us the edge when attracting Business Events from around the world. I want to keep the momentum up and grow Perthshire as the Business Tourism Destination of choice for 2024.”
The MICE market is estimated to be worth over £1.1bn to Scotland, and Perthshire’s stunning landscape, leading visitor attractions and ease of transport options delivers a highly attractive option to operators and buyers planning group business events for their clients.
