GLS Media provides social media, PR and copywriting services to clients within the tourism and hospitality sectors. Gavin Sime, who owns and runs the business as a freelance resource, has an extensive sales, marketing, business development and management consultancy background having worked within international corporates in both the UK, Europe and Africa for over 20 years prior to starting his own business on returning to Scotland from living and working in Cape Town for 7 years.

Gavin has supported the Meetings Perthshire Group since 2019 where, in addition to operating the social media channels to help promote the group and its members, he has actively contributed to the group’s planning activities and helped host international guests during familiarisation trips to Perthshire.

Gavin actively enjoys engaging with people within the tourism sector and has a depth and breadth of knowledge of local and national tourism plans and strategies due to the nature of the digital marketing roles he fulfils for various clients across Scotland. He also has extensive experience in planning and running specific social media campaigns and has operated live social feeds from both business and tourism events, conferences and exhibitions.
