Extolling the virtues of Perthshire is our modus operandi. From the region’s accessibility to the variety of venues, to the beautiful Tay, the big trees, whisky and fresh air, it’s an easy sell! One aspect overlooked is our collaboration in Perthshire. As you would expect, tourism plays an important part in day-to-day Perthshire life. Perthshire is keen to capitalise and maximise the growing popularity of the region.
In a recent tourism insight meeting held at the Birnam Arts Centre, and organised by the Perthshire Tourism Partnership and Perth & Kinross Council, we heard that –
It’s an exciting time to promote Perthshire, pleasingly reassured that we are on track for positive results in 2024.
Meetings Perthshire plays its part, but there are plenty of people, bodies and groups to thank.
The Perthshire Tourism Partnership is a case in point. The Partnership’s aim is to help Perthshire become the leading sustainable destination in Scotland, which is part of the Perthshire Tourism Action Plan. Success has already seen a £27 million investment in the Perth Museum, home of the Stone of Destiny, together with the opening of the award-winning visitor Experience at Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery.
Go Rural is another body spoken about in a previous News article. Scottish Agritourism is a member organisation and sector body, and their Go Rural brand promotes the sector to the public.
Visit Scotland, as always, proudly sells Scotland to the World. The visitor numbers are a testament to their hard work. Similarly, Perth & Kinross Council have appreciated how vital the industry is and are extremely supportive of the businesses.
There are plenty we have missed out, but this is a demonstration of our power in numbers. We are part of the Perthshire team.
As we keep saying, Perthshire has so much to offer. The websites below will help you get even more information about the region. There is a wealth of detail here, and we will of course happily talk to you about how Perthshire is making huge strides to be an even more significant tourism destination in Scotland.
The ultimate beneficiary of this hard work is our visitor, whether on business, or enjoying your leisure, you will notice.
