Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery Experience

The Story of Dewar’s Blended Whisky

Dewar’s has recently launched the Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery Experience. Enjoy the story of the world’s most-awarded blended Scotch whisky and discover how the Aberfeldy Single Malt is crafted. The experience finishes with a tasting, which is always good.

Work Hard, Play Hard

Why should your meeting be limited to a conference room? The beauty of the Perthshire region is the variety of experience. MICE tourism, by its very nature, is linked to ‘work’. Perthshire allows you to combine business and pleasure, in unique, and fun environments. Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery Experience is the perfect representation of this. With its own private theatre, in the stunning Perthshire hills, with a whisky experience at your fingers tip, it’s a compelling venue for an event.

Scotch Whisky

The Dewar’s film and story will help you understand the importance of the distillery to the region, and visiting the warehouse and seeing the blending process will enlighten you to the complexities, yet simplicity of Scotch.

As mentioned, a combination of business and pleasure is Perthshire’s forte. At the distillery, meetings, private tastings, dinners and presentations are also possible.

A Variety of Meeting Space

The Blending Room is ideal for small meetings or private dinners, taking you back to the 1920s.

The Auditorium is a special destination. Accommodating 44, the impact of a presentation in this space isn’t to be undervalued.

The Whisky Lounge is a networking area, set up for down time and informality, perhaps after the Auditorium presentation.

Let’s not forget the Secret Bar, but we’d better not tell you too much about that.

History

The distillery was first planned in 1896, taking advantage of the abundance of natural water. The Pitilie Burn runs past the distillery and into the River Tay. Transport was a reason for the distillery’s location too, with a train line nearby allowing whisky to be taken to market. The river and accessibility, very much Perthshire themes.
