Atholl palace hotel

Overlooking the beautiful Victorian town of Pitlochry, is the baronial splendour of The Atholl Palace Hotel. Originally opened as the Athole Hydropathic in Victorian times, the hotel has retained many of its original features.

The Atholl Palace Hotel has 107 bedrooms, together with a selection of self-catering properties. There are 50 acres of glorious gardens to explore, a spa, numerous dining options, and a range of banqueting and conference rooms.

Unique Style at Atholl Palace Hotel

Every room in the hotel is unique, with original features combined with the highest of contemporary standards. The hotel bedrooms are single, double, or family, whilst the self-catering cottages and apartments are one or two-bedroom. The Hunting Lodges are slightly bigger, with three bedrooms. The accommodation variety helps accommodate leisure stays, celebrations, weddings, meetings and events.

Local Produce

The Varandah Restaurant sets the tone for the stay, with stunning views over the Tummel Valley, and sumptuous local produce. Afternoon tea is served here too, or the selection of whisky in the Stag’s Head Bar will also be a temptation.

Versatile Meeting Space

The hotel’s versatile event spaces include the impressive Atholl Suite, accommodating up to 400 delegates theatre-style or 300 for gala dinners and private functions. A range of flexible rooms support everything from board meetings to workshops and product launches. With a dedicated events team, integrated AV support, on-site catering, and luxury accommodation, the Atholl Palace delivers a seamless and memorable experience, balancing business focus with Highland tranquillity.

Pitlochry Train Station

To reach the hotel, the journey time is only 30 minutes from Perth, whilst the Caledonian Sleeper stops at Pitlochry. The hotel’s biggest asset is its location. Surrounded by lochs, Munros, rivers and woodland, the area is the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Once the work has been completed, there is an array of activities to enjoy, and the hotel will happily book a tailored itinerary.
